Egg Tempera Painter: Alina Gallo

Sinopia is proud to introduce our April 2014 Artist of the Month: Alina Gallo. Alina Gallo's work has been shown at the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art, the Center for Maine Contemporary Art, and the Jamjar Gallery in Dubai. Her large mural painting "Aleppo 9-2012 (for Noura)" is currently on exhibition at the Portland Museum of Art in conjunction with the exhibition “Piecework” through June 2014. She currently living and working in Turkey where she maintains a studio and teaches the technique of egg tempera painting to adults and young artists of all levels. In the past year, she has taught at Zayed University and Jamjar Gallery in the U.A.E., Lorenzo de Medici Institute of Art in Italy and the Maine College of Art in the USA. She is a MacDowell Artist Colony Fellow.
